Our Structure

Our vision, values and mission give us a clarity of focus and a structure for the way we work. ​The Committee of Trustees carry the overall responsibility for the Forum, its focus, priorities and policies. ​Three action groups focus on the key elements of our vision. 

Committee of Trustees

Our Trustees have the following key responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring that the Charity is run well, financially, legally and constitutionally.

  • Ensuring we hold to our vision, values and mission.

  • Providing oversight of the action groups.

  • Organising and running an annual conference.

Action Groups

Each Action Group has its own focus. These groups organise activities and share relevant resources. 

Providing resources to enable spiritual direction to be more widely understood;

representing spiritual direction in the ecclesiastical structures;

running Edge Walking events to explore and encourage ongoing creative development

Advocate & Encourage

Supporting network leaders through consultations and other events;

developing shared understandings of good practice;

sharing resources and guidelines


Promote & Protect Good Practice

Holding online and other events;

running the FaceBook group;

sharing resources on the practice of spiritual direction
